CH2M HILL Environmental Planner - Redding, California

The challenge? Providing exceptional planning, permitting, engineering, and design services to local, state, and federal clients. Our Planner jobs are your opportunity to work on the initial planning and ultimate environmental review of innovative construction and design projects, resource management plans, and infrastructure maintenance projects throughout the western U.S. Each day, you will assist Project Managers on implementing projects, preparing planning documents, facility use studies, and other planning projects. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual who holds a degree in Resource Planning or related degree and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project.

Basic Qualifications

BS degree in Environmental Science or Planning, Environmental Studies, Biology, or equivalent experience.
1-3 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of the fundamentals of NEPA/ CEQA documentation.
Basi c understanding of environmental permitting processes and agencies.
Ideal candidate would have some knowledge and understanding of California's water delivery systems, CVP, and SWP, dams, and waterways Ideal candidate would have some knowledge of ESA issues in Northern and Central California, specifically anadromous fish (salmon/ steelhead).
Candidates must have technical writing capabilities and excellent writing skills and work habits.
