Certification and experience of 3 years as an instructor in adult education, which includes course development.

Recent C-IED technical experience required preferably in Afghanistan.
Prior Marine Corps background or military experience required.
Requires operating application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.

Job Description:
URS is seeking a Training Specialist for a Counter-IED program.
Demonstrate knowledge of training and learning techniques and adult learning styles, both theoretical and practical, and demonstrate skills in delivering an effective professional training presentation.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for training personnel
2. Develop and revise courses, using instructional system design & development (ISD) methodology.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of teaching and learning techniques and methods.
5. Demonstrate presentation skills and ability to deliver an effective, professional training presentation.
6. Evaluates effectiveness of training/course by observing student performance and student application of techniques/skills.
7. Maintains database, records and files.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
9. Background of familiarity with IED and patrolling skill set that relate to IED awareness.
10. Combat arms experience, convoys, route clearance and security experience preferred.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
