Minimum Requirements:
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: 4 year trade school or demonstrated equivalent.
WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience such as SAP or similar software
Material Management Experience (2 years)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, i.e., develop spreadsheets and perform analysis using Pivot Tables
Material Expediting Experience (4 years)
Ability to:
• Work on an offshore oil platform off California in the Santa Barbara Channel, and occasionally in the Gulf of Mexico
• Perform a variety of duties related to Offshore Oil Platform operations in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
• Analyze and solve specialized problems within SAP for Maintenance and Material Management
• Work under limited supervision performing complex duties
• Work a 12-hour days/2 weeks on, 2 weeks off on an off-shore oil platform
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Physical Requirements
1. Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time and frequent bending, twisting, reaching and turning.
2. Some tasks require repetitive wrist movements.
Special Requirements
1. Keyboard skills and visual activity associated with the use of keyboards and terminals.
2. Must be able to respond to emergency alarms.
3. Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one on one or group discussions, meetings and presentations

URS has a Dispatcher/Material Coordinator position available at Offshore Oil Platform located off California in the Santa Barbara, Channel!
Job Concept
Perform a variety of duties related to Offshore Oil Platform operations in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The Technicians job family encompasses a broad range of fields and disciplines. Responsible for analyzing and solving specialized problems within SAP for Maintenance and Material Management. Responsibility for ongoing activities within SAP, Material Expediting, Personnel Movements and Payment resolutions. Provides assistance to Engineering and Operations in areas such as, scheduling, cost, procurement. Offshore Oil Platforms are located off California in the Santa Barbara Channel and off Texas in the Gulf of Mexico. Works under limited supervision performing complex duties.
Works 12-hour days 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
Essential Functions
• Identifies sources for materials and equipment, evaluates the capabilities and performance of suppliers, and selects qualified suppliers based upon their ability to provide competitive pricing, appropriate material quality, and timely supply of goods.
• Resolves disputes with suppliers.
• Prepares, compiles, and maintains auditable records of the materials management process.
• Manages purchase orders to ensure timely completion, compliance with requirements, and appropriateness of invoices and payment. .
• Identifies and resolves problems that may cause delay of delivery of goods to the point of use, whether the problem is internal to the Company or caused by the supplier.
• Maintains a professional relationship with suppliers that motivates compliance, promotes improved performance, and avoids compromising responsibility.
• Performs AFE cost tracking on projects and maintenance work, ensuring each is with budget or seeks additional funding using client specific processes
• Collects data and submits documentation to cataloging group for the establishment of new Material Master Codes supporting new or installed equipment
• Provides additional administrative support as may be requested.
• Keeps management adequately advised of significant issues or changes in order status, with particular attention to any problem areas that might impact maintenance schedules or operations.
