CH2M HILL CAD Technician Jobs – Phoenix, Arizona

The challenge? Help provide and sustain clean water resources around the world. Our Water CAD Technician career path is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be part of a team supporting the design and delivery of water, wastewater, and conveyance projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with 2 years of experience in CAD setup and detailing for water infrastructure projects utilizing both AutoCAD and MicroStation. In addition, you must have a two year technical degree in Computer Drafting and Design, and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each engineering technician project.

Our CAD Technicians:


  • Support design and delivery activities in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Execute project drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation 2D and 3D application software to produce legible and technically correct drawings in a cost efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using CAD standards, drawing management system and plotting software.
  • Prepare drawings from sketches, descriptions and instructions.
  • Checks own work, and may check the work of others, for errors and omissions prior to submittal to reviewer.
  • Make revisions to existing drawings from verbal explanations and revise complex drawings from sketches.
  • Assist Engineers in producing design and construction documents.
  • Read and follow project automation plans and utilizes automation demonstration videos to develop skill set proficiency.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments.

Additional Information:


  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position.


 

Basic Qualifications



  • A two-year degree in Computer Drafting and Design
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in CAD setup and detailing for engineering projects (prefer experience with water infrastructure projects) utilizing both AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation to produce engineering drawings
  • Willingness to develop proficiency in basic 3D Modeling

Degree Required

Associates or 2 Year Degree
