Minimum Requirements:
Junior in college, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or Policy, including coursework in Planning, Policy, GIS or Traffic Engineering.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000, Access, AutoCAD and GIS).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Effective time-management, analytical, decision-making, planning and organizational skills.
Articulate with a professional presence.
Candidate must be able to assist in the preparation of written reports and presentations of project findings.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
Job Description:
Assist Transportation Planning Project Manager in urban planning projects.
This position will be a support member of the Transportation Planning Department in the NYC office in our growing planning practice. Candidate will assist project level staff in the performance of transportation related planning focused on infrastructure in the greatest transportation oriented city in the country. Assist in the development and preparation of transportation related planning elements including GIS, CAD, traffic data collection and data base manipulation.
