National Business Manager, Automotive Vertical REQ ID 12355 The position is one layered by the complexity of the assigned line of business and customer operations, the maturity of the business, revenue responsibility and expected revenue growth. May be responsible for $25 to $70 million in revenue with expected growth of 10 to 30% of the LOB. Travel is required 35% to 75% of time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Ultimately accountable for the development and maintenance of a safety conscious organization within all assigned customer sites. Oversees management's development of a safe work environment that complies with all customer/site regulatory requirements related to health, safety and the environment. · Responsible for the successful management of service issues and enhancements through regular interaction with Territory Managers and team management who work directly with the customers, operating team and vendors. Responsible for the renegotiation of contracts with existing clients and vendors. · Manage the financial performance of all operating units within the assigned LOB to ensure profitability goals are achieved. Oversees profit/loss, receivables, pricing, invoicing, budgeting and related accounting activities. · Directs sourcing, environmental health and safety and ISO 14001 activities. · Assists in the education and development of the Territory and Project Managers and operating team. Ensures personnel training has been completed and properly documented and all applicable WM policies, procedures, and programs are implemented as required. · Develops annual budgets, long range strategic plans and ensures through management levels the execution of internal growth targets and associated management reporting. · Assists with the development of new business opportunities and reviews proformas for accuracy and applicability. · Ensures best practices and lessons learned are developed and properly implemented at customer locations. · Conducts periodic safety meetings and safety/regulatory inspections. · Participates in quarterly and annual business reviews with clients. · Interfaces with WM Market Areas and Districts to ensure core services are properly maintained. Experience in the environmental or services industry is required. Master's in Business Administration (or Master's in industry related field) may substitute for 2 years of experience at the discretion of the hiring manager. Preferred: Master's in Business Administration or advanced degree in related field (Accounting, Environmental Sciences). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is preferred.
