CH2M HILL Project Controls Supervisor - Ft. Worth, Texas
The challenge? Providing exceptional engineering and construction services to government and military clients. Our Project Controls Supervisor positions are responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, training and execution of all project controls processes and systems for a large program. Each day you will perform the more difficult and complex aspects of project control activities, ensuring that all project control activities such as project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual with strong written and verbal communication skills; preferably with Middle East work experience; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project controls role.
Our Project Controls Supervisors:
- Perform all aspects of project control activities
- Assist managers in the development of scope, schedule, budget and estimate to complete data for assigned tasks
- Assist managers in the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and development of schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements
- Collect, interpret and input schedule data into the project control database and provide output to the project team
- Provide oversight in the development of a document management system that supports the management of all project correspondence
- Assist managers in preparing status reports and other related project planning and control documentation
- Interface with the project technical staff to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from the original plan
- Assist managers in managing and maximizing project margins
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced project control personnel
- Help in the development of the structure for document management systems
- Use rigorous earned value techniques
- Implement trend and change management programs
- Take the lead to establishing and/or implementing cost standards for recording, reporting, and analyzing performance data
- Develop reports for the project team and provide analysis and recommendations for corrective action planning
- Incorporate field schedules into the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)
- Assist in the establishment of standard templates and control systems
- Provide for mentoring of junior level project control personnel
- Provide for career development counseling of junior level project control personnel
- Act as a sponsor to junior level project control personnel
- Market PP&C services to internal CH2M HILL clients
- Prepare CH2M HILL standard earned value-based reports, including schedule updates, Cost Performance Reports (CPRs) and earned value curves

- Position may require a CAC card and a current Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain them). To meet these requirements, only U.S. citizens will be considered.

Basic Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in engineering, construction, program controls and planning or related field; if no degree, an additional 4 hours of experience may be substituted
- A minimum of 8 years experience in all aspects of program controls, such as planning/scheduling/cost engineering
- Thorough understanding of project controls principles
- Hands on experience with resource loading and earned value management systems
- Proficient in the Primavera Project Manager (P6), Primavera Project Planner (P3), P3e/c, Primavera Contract Manager, Primavera Expedition, SureTrak, Access, Excel, Microsoft Project and Cobra
- Ability to demonstrate good writing skills and experience preparing progress reports and making presentations
