Minimum Requirements: • B.S. in Geology • 6 years of related experience • Familiarity with site investigations and assessments of sites with chemical impact, including experience with sampling, drilling techniques, PID/FID instruments, chain-of-custody of samples for laboratory analysis • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data for contaminated sited • Ability to demonstrate an established career in groundwater and contaminated site assessment. • Proficiency with MS Office products. • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of project activities Job Description: Do the best work of your life! The Remediation Team of the URS Baton Rouge office is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Geologist for immediate employment in the Baton Rouge office. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including investigation, assessment, remedial design, and implementation of remediation for contaminated sites.
Incumbent Responsibilities: • Plans, organizes and implements field investigations of contaminated sites. • Oversees work by subcontractors. • Works with a team of engineers and scientists to evaluate feasibility of remediation of contaminated sites. Remedial alternatives include a variety of in-situ treatment techniques and source removal or containment techniques. • Serves as a cross-disciplinary resource. EOE M/F/D/V
