Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in Information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Highly motivated team player.
3. Minimum 5 years IT related work experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing web-based applications.
4. Experience administering server application software and working with the associated user communities to identify and resolve technical issues.
5. Experience constructing technical business requirements, and managing enhancement or upgrade projects.
6. Experience with web and J2EE technologies such as BEA Weblogic, IIS, Apache, Oracle Application Server, WebSphere, Macromedia Jrun, and/or Tomcat.
7. Ability to troubleshoot client and server operating systems including Linux, Unix, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Server.
8. Provide senior-level systems administration services to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of assigned applications.


Job Description:

The basic function of this position is to provide senior-level application administration services to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of applications within the Austin data center such as, but not limited to, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle IPM, Deltek Time & Expense, Oracle EPM, Oracle EBS, SAP BPC and IBM Cognos.

Scope:

This person will provide senior-level systems administration services to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of assigned applications. This person will coordinate all aspects of the IT infrastructure support services required to support the applications. This includes all systems operation activities; change management; wide and local area networking requirements; all coordination with the application user community; and coordination with all appropriate IT professionals on other teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Direct all aspects of the activities required to ensure the assigned systems are available to the appropriate user community, as arranged, and in a manner that is effective, efficient and secure.
2. Define, implement and manage application technical architectures and operations.
3. Perform application performance tuning and optimization as necessary.
4. Work closely with Infrastructure staff and other teams (including Accounting, IT Applications Development, Systems Analysts, etc.) to ensure the day-to-day technical activities required to support the assigned systems are appropriately defined documented, executed monitored and improved.
5. Maintain appropriate coordination and communications with the functional owners and users of the assigned systems.
6. Provide effective and timely communications to regional and corporate IT professionals as necessary in support of the assigned applications.
7. Ensure the effective operation of all interfaces between the assigned systems and all other systems as required. (This does not include the daily operation of the interfaces.)
8. Work as a team member or lead on multiple projects and assignments relating to network, data center, and application initiatives.
9. Apply the duties and responsibilities above to enterprise applications such as Deltek Time Collection, Deltek Costpoint, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle IPM, and Oracle Formscape.

7. Clear and effective interactions with IT staff and management.
