Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline corresponding to IE’s business lines. Or, demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum 20 years of Project Management experience on industrial design projects with a minimum of 8 years working for a Consulting A/E company in a Project Management role.
Must have broad technical knowledge and extensive experience in execution and management of multi-discipline detailed engineering design projects, construction, EPC Projects and contract negotiations. Must have proven leadership ability, communication skills, interpersonal skills, sound judgment and previous Lead Engineering experience. Must be able to develop strong relationships and accounts with clients.
This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within six months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee. Job Description: This position is for a URS Representative communicating directly with clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads URS Project Team in the execution of the project. - Provides oversight to Engineering Manager/Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Controls Representatives, and Procurement Representatives assigned to Project. - Provides overall Project/Program coordination. - Ensures client expectations and contract obligations are met. - Ensures profitability of Project/Program. - Provides Business Development support as needed. - Follows URS Project Management, Quality Assurance and Accounting procedures. - Other duties include: proposal development, contract negotiations, project setup, planning/scheduling.
