Minimum Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited 4 year college or university and seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering, Emergency Management, Health Physics or Fire Safety with the intent to attend the subsequent term as a full-time student.
• Must have completed a minimum of 60 credits prior to the start of the internship.

Preferred Requirements: [If applicable]

• 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Previous coursework completed related to health and safety.
• Previous internship or work experience or demonstrated interest in nuclear safety field.
• Preference given to those attending or graduated from one of the following URS EC focus schools:
o Boise State University

o Colorado School of Mines
o Colorado State University
o Drexel University
o New Jersey Institute of Technology
o Penn State University

Job Description:

We are seeking an Engineering Intern for our Nuclear Safety group in Aiken, SC for the summer of 2012.

Intern will be trained to perform Emergency Planning Hazard Analysis, Hazard Analysis of Radiological/Chemical facilities and processes, Fire Risk Analysis, general administrative support, authoring technical documents and reports, perform engineering calculations, and support training initiatives.
