Minimum Requirements: • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in New York
• Demonstrated experience in proposal preparation and client management
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet
• Must demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to interact appropriately with regulatory personnel and clients for routine tasks
• Valid driver's license required
• Must successfully complete a HAZWOPER Medical examination Job Description: This position offers opportunities to gain experience preparing and implementing scopes of work and maintaining budgets for a wide variety of environmental projects, drilling with various types of drill rigs, collecting soil, groundwater, asbestos, and lead samples and comparing laboratory analytical results to state and federal regulatory criteria for contaminants, preparing reports for clients and regulatory agencies describing site conditions and results. Also includes client management and proposal preparation for projects.
The successful candidate will: Work effectively and efficiently with other personnel, agency representatives, clients, and contracted service providers.
Have opportunities to grow into a decision-making and field supervising position to direct field operations and successfully complete projects in the best technical manner within budget constraints.
Promote growth with new projects by maintaining and enhancing client satisfaction and helping to prepare proposals for future projects.
Project Examples: The successful candidate will work on Phase II site assessments and characterizations that include soil and/or groundwater sampling and analysis; installation, testing and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells; and some soil and groundwater remediation.
Team Dynamic: The successful candidate will work in the Environmental Compliance/Due Diligence group with other scientists and engineers supporting projects such as Site Investigations, Remedial Design and Implementation, Compliance Audits, Phase I's, and Asbestos and Lead Inspection.
