Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, marine, environmental engineering or appropriate discipline.

EIT or ability to obtain one after being hired.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Completed coursework in coastal hydraulics, wave mechanics and sediment transport.

Job Description:

The IE/Water Resources Group of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Graduate Coastal Engineer for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate skills in Coastal engineering, specific to coastal flood hazard analyses and mapping. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including projects related to FEMA flood hazard mapping projects.

Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Computer modeling and GIS work related to coastal flooding per FEMA guideline and standards
• Field work to record coastal study data
• This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of the URS Corporation
