CH2M HILL Environmental Compliance Specialists Careers – Houston, TX The challenge? Serve the strategic and operational environmental compliance needs of our North America-based oil and gas exploration clients, with particular emphasis on the Gulf Coast. Our Environmental Compliance Specialists careers provide you an opportunity to provide broad environmental compliance consulting to these clients. Each day, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical and project management skills to bring value to our oil and gas exploration clients. You should be a self-motivated professional with 12-15 years of regulatory compliance experience and have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or other closely related scientific or engineering discipline. You should also have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental compliance project. Our Environmental Compliance Specialists:
- Serve as technical consultants and senior reviewers for a variety of environmental compliance issues that our oil and gas clients, including air, water , wastewater, EMS, EMIS, GHG, waste management, waste disposal, SPCC, and permitting.
- Develop environmental compliance documents, tools, reviews and audits for multiple projects and clients at the same time.
- Utilize their strong background in EHS information management systems, air compliance, and emission control technologies (permitting and other emerging issues), solid, hazardous waste and water quality management to grow the oil and gas exploration business, including shale.
- Serve as primary client interface with the purpose of growing existing networks and building new relationships.
- Utilize your extensive skills in the field of environmental regulatory compliance, to serve as a coach and mentor for junior staff.
Additional Information: Relocation assistance is not available for this position. CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H-1 B visa, etc) to fill this position. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or other closely related scientific or engineering discipline.
- 15 years experience contributing to project teams that performed air, water , wastewater, EMS, EMIS, GHG, waste mgmt waste disposal, SPCC, and permitting compliance support to clients.
- 10 years experience working with the oil and gas industry to prepare environmental compliance documents such as SARA 311/312/313 preparation and reporting; Title V preparation, renewals and reporting; NPDES preparation and reporting, and SPCC preparation, assessment and reporting
- Able to effectively work on multiple projects/tasks, and be able to communicate daily with staff and managers in other offices.
- Experience in the oil and gas exploration industry.
- 15 years experience writing and communicating complex technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Able to provide high quality analysis and application of rules and regulations for environmental regulatory compliance.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
