Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.

Hazwoper Certification and current 8-hr Refresher Training Course.

Job Description:

Candidate will be working within the Remediation Group of the Engineering Department in Fort Washington. The Remediation Group currently consists of 7 to 8 engineers with experience ranging from newly graduated to staff with over 20 years of involvement in soil and groundwater remediation projects. Candidate will be expected to actively seek and engage multi-disciplinary staff across other departments within Fort Washington as appropriate, and to engage and interact with national technical specialists throughout the URS remediation network.

Candidate must have the highest levels of effective communication skills throughout all interactions, ranging from interfacing with junior staff to senior management, including possessing an articulate and professional presence with client decision-makers. Command of technical writing must be excellent, including review of work by staff-level coworkers and creation of effective written and orally-presented client proposals.

Environmental Scientist, responsible to execute and manage existing and new remediation projects. Must have demonstrated experience managing site remediation projects in a variety of environmental and regulatory settings.

Candidate will assist with overall business growth and development of junior department team members; manage multiple projects budgets and schedules; participate routinely in client and regulatory meetings, leading decision-making processes; must have demonstrated experience managing site remediation design projects. Other responsibilities include project planning, execution, budget tracking, and effective communication with project team.

Management of many varieties of site remediation projects. Engagement with projects will include identifying, pursuing and winning opportunities to delegation and/or oversight of project execution by junior and mid-level staff.
