Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Must be fully qualified to safely and efficiently operate some or all of the following pieces of equipment:
Brush Cutters
Fertilizer Spreaders
Hydro-Seeders
Drill Seeders
Pesticide Sprayers
Hand Tools to clear living vegetation and woody debris from training lands
• Must be fully licensed/certified to operate one or more of the following pieces of equipment:
Crawler-type, diesel-powered and gasoline-powered, engineering and/or farm or industrial-type equipment
Equipment to push and grade or load and relocate earth, riprap, gravel, or other materials (Excavators, Loaders, Tractors, etc.)
5-ton to 20-ton Dump Trucks
25-ton Trailers
• Must be able to pass a National Agency Check.
• Must be able to work both in a team environment, and without supervision.
Job Description:
The position will be located in Fort Drum, NY.
The Heavy Equipment Operator will support the URS managed Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program at Fort Bragg and work under the supervision of an ITAM Coordinator, LRAM Coordinator, and/or RTLA Coordinator.
The successful candidate will interact with federal agencies and coordinate with other URS team members.
Equipment will be operated in the conduct of projects for:
•Repair and Maintenance of Maneuver Access Trails in Training Areas
•Snow Removal
•Pesticide Application
•Grading and Erosion Control
