CH2M HILL Lead Civil Engineer – HOUSTON, TEXAS

Each day you will be responsible for the execution of assigned projects according to the company's contractual obligations and the client's needs and expectations. You should be a self-motivated professional with a bachelors' degree in Civil Engineering. Have a keen desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new Civil engineering task.
Our Lead Civil Engineers:

Works effectively without direct supervision on Oil and Gas, Refinery, and Industrial projects
Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of engineering principles with the latest design codes
Coordinate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process
Develop site drainage plans and hydrology studies using the latest software programs
Familiar with 3D soft ware such as Civil 3D and Inroads
Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents
Prepare Scope of Works, man-hours estimates, basis of design documentation to manage project resources to meet budget and schedule
Lead and motivate a team of engineers and designers to prepare civil
construction documents
Learn and follow CH2M HILL QA/QC procedures
Coordinate or perform discipline checks for design documents and drawings
Develop technical specifications for materials and construction
Mentors and develops junior engineers and designers.
Experienced with earthwork analysis, utility infrastructure design, storm
water management planning and hydrological analysis
Experienced in the design of site facility layouts, and grading and
drainage

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree from an accredited civil engineering program
• Hands on experience working with AutoCAD 2D. 3D modeling a plus
• Registered in the State of Texas
• Pipeline, Oil and Gas, Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Industrial a plus
• 10 years of civil engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program
