We are currently seeking Engineers with US Navy backgrounds to act as Government Test Coordinators. The general focus of the task is supporting NSSA Engineering Department by providing direct, on-site government supervision to ensure lead maintenance activity compliance with several NAVSEA Standard Items associated with shipyard Total Ship Test Management Plans.
Essential responsibilities:
1. Participate in production meetings as Government Test Coordinator providing guidance for shipyard Integration Managers, Teaming Partners and Superintendents with regard to stage testing accomplishment. 2. Coordinate testing associated with TSRA II toward the end of the avails. 3. Make sure that systems are ready to be tested before NSSA deploys SMEs to observe system operation. 4. Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements. 5. Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status. 6. Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. 7. Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. 8. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. 9. Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. 10. Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
