Minimum Requirements: Required Education, Skills and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other relevant discipline and 8+ years of experience in IT.
OR
• Associate's degree or technical diploma/degree in Information Technology and 12+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology support field.
OR
• 16+ years of Enterprise level IT experience in an administration, support and/or oversight capacity.
• Some travel may be required. ( • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
Required SharePoint Specific Competencies: • 2+ years of experience with SharePoint 2007 (or 2010) installation, configuration, and maintenance; including creation and maintenance of Sites and Site Collections as well as all associated databases and services; Outgoing and Incoming e-mail services; search services; configuring a SharePoint/MOSS-based extranet platform
• 2 + years experience administering Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis
Preferred Qualifications • Mid to high level knowledge in one or all of the following technologies: Scripting, Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft IIS 7.
• Proven experience with and understanding of clustered and load-balanced systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Client, Server and Application infrastructure troubleshooting processes
• Experience with ancillary technologies such as Active directory, Load balancers, etc.
• Proven knowledge of the following: Windows 2003 Server environments, IIS administration, XML, InfoPath, MOSS Business Data Catalog configuration, Excel Services, .Net 3.5 application configuration management, SharePoint Designer 2007 or 2010.
• Proven experience with Windows PowerShell and command-line administration.
• Proven proficiency with the infrastructure and security of Windows Server 2008.
• Proven knowledge of SQL and TSQL and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, including SQL Server Reporting Services and integration with SharePoint.
Preferred SharePoint Specific Competencies • Proven experience in/with SharePoint:
• Infrastructure capacity planning and administration
• Farm performance and availability maintenance.
• Information architecture (interprets taxonomy)
• Information search strategy integration with other data sources (LOB, third-party products)
• Security concepts and authentication methods
• Certification: MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010 or 2007

Description: An Application Administrator will work under minimal supervision providing support for complex tiered application environments for both production and development purposes on projects of high complexity and risk with a primary focus on system availability and tier connectivity. This position supports multi-tier application administration and architectures and will work with all levels of technical and functional personnel as needed, including but not limited to, working directly with the IT Project Management Group, Operations, Security, Architecture, QA, and the Application Delivery groups to assist in the technical support of applications, projects, and the documentation of necessary application support information. An Application Administrator must be a process and procedure driven person with attention to detail and able handle multiple priorities and follow through on all of them. Additionally, this position is viewed as a subject matter expert within the organization and acts as a mentor to less senior IT staff. Responsibility: An Application Administrator will: Be responsible for executing and validating upgrades, migrations, and installation of service packs and/or hot for the application
Participate in Application Administration, Project Management, and other relative meetings.
Interact with software and hardware vendors for application and system support.
Implement and follow applicable business process, change management and security practices.
Develop technical documentation of application specific prerequisites for installations and support.
Be responsible for the configuration, documentation, and ongoing support of business class servers and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and interoperability problems between system and application components as well as application configuration issues that arise beyond the Operating System level.
Interact with personnel from Operations and other business units contributing to the creation and maintenance of effective two-way communication between all parties to identify and resolve issues in applications supported by the team.
Be required to support the project management process by decomposing projects into tasks with level-of-effort estimates and to complete activities inside prescribed timelines.
Gather business requirements, develop and present solutions with alternatives, produce migration procedure documents, provide guidance and knowledge transfer to application users, provide cross training to team members, develop test plans and implement approved designs.
Provide weekly status updates and communicate accomplishments, issues and risks to management.
Performs system-wide/cross-functional team management, providing direction for projects as needed.
Plan and manage implementation, upgrade and integration of new technologies as needed.
