Minimum Requirements: BS in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience with an emphasis on highway design and drainage design. EIT with the ability to get a PE license
Must have proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads including experience developing PS&E and construction plans, estimating quantities; specifications and cost estimates; occasional travel to job sites to obtain information on projects, and interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. The selected individual will have site civil design as well as highway and road design experience. Proficiency in MicroSoft Office programs and valid driver’s license required.
Must have experience working with WSDOT design and CAD standards Must be capable of functioning with spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software.
Position requires good interpersonal skills; good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work.
Requires working on a variety of tasks under a variety of supervisors with the willingness to learn. This position will work on roadway, hydraulics, planning and design, and will create documents, spreadsheets, plans, estimates, and specifications. Responsibilities: • The position requires the flexibility to be collocated to project or field office setup per client requirement. • This position requires roadway design experience using InRoads and Microstation utilizing WSDOT and AASHTO design standards. • The candidate should be able to prepare PS&E per WSDOT standards. • Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications. • This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of the URS Corporation.
