Minimum Requirements: Master of Science degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or Regional Planning from an ABET accredited school.
7 years of job-related experience, including a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and objectives of transportation planning, specifically the 4-Step process of travel demand modeling.
Able to develop traffic networks and perform planning analysis on medium/large networks using transportation planning/engineering software (TransCAD, CUBE/Voyager, EMME and VISUM, including scripting).
Able to program in languages such as FORTRAN, Python, JAVA C++ and VBA.
Able to develop documents in MS Office with working knowledge of MS Access database and GIS.
Effective time-management and analytical skills.
Articulate with a professional presence, with solid decision-making and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Valid Driver's License.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. Job Description: This position will be a key member of the Transportation Planning Department in the Fort Washington, PA office, in our growing practice, and will report directly to the Director of Transportation Planning.
Assist project managers in the performance of travel demand modeling analysis, focused on infrastructure projects in the domestic and international market.
Perform/manage transportation analysis on large networks using travel demand forecasting procedures, including multimodal analysis with complex transit systems.
Support transportation and transit related infrastructure projects of all magnitudes.
Develop databases and perform analytical analysis of data sets.
Assist in business development efforts including proposal preparations.
Interact with other transportation planners and traffic engineers.
