Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required
May require Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or state Department of Transportation (DOT) specific certifications
Minimum eight years experience operating a variety of heavy equipment OR demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
Possess demonstrated knowledge of the role that training land has in supporting mission essential training tasks and military readiness
Must be able to work both in a team environment, and without supervision For Security Clearance, must be able to pass a National Agency Check Job Description: • The successful candidate will interact with federal agencies and coordinate with other URS team members. • Serves as Fort Irwin Assistant LRAM Coordinator. • Supervises program Heavy Equipment Operators and Field Technicians. • Assists with determining labor, equipment, materials, and supplies required to repair maneuver damage. Projects may include planting and watering vegetation, constructing erosion control structures, and maneuver trail maintenance (e.g., repair fencing and signage). • Operates heavy equipment (i.e., loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, scrapers, graders, compactors, excavators, forklifts, dump trucks, boom lifts, man-lifts and scissor lifts). • Inspects equipment and documents inspection. • Performs work safely and remove equipment form service when safety features are not functioning properly or problems with the equipment do not allow safe operation.
Position is located in Fort Irwin, CA and contingent upon award of contract.
