Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant architectural drafting or design experience
• No license is required for this position
• Solid understanding of architectural design, detailing, and document production
• Solid understanding of needs related to coordination with engineering disciplines
• Mastery of AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop 2009 or later
• Understanding of and familiarity with the Florida Building Code or the International Building Code and with NFPA 101, the Life Safety Code.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job Description:

URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. Our projects primarily involve government clients and include airport terminals, armories, medical facilities, higher education, and the military. All engineering disciplines normally associated with building projects are represented in our Tampa staff, in addition to industrial hygienists, environmental scientists, planners, and landscape architects.

This position affords you the opportunity to hone skills in design and use of CAD for drawing production.

The successful candidate must possess excellent written and graphic communication skills. Additionally, designs need to be communicated clearly to persons who may not be familiar with design-related terms.

This position affords a talented designer the ability to make an important and meaningful contribution to our projects and to our clients. You will participate in a variety of project types located across the Southeast.
