Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of two years prior experience in jet engine repair is required on assigned engines/components
An extensive knowledge of tools, equipment and hardware used in mechanical applications is required. The ability to read, write, and interpret applicable AF and Company technical directives is required
May be required to perform Senior Mechanic duties when designated by proper authority. Night work may be required. A working knowledge of MIS, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand American English.


Job Description:

Maintains assigned engines at the highest quality and safety standards and troubleshoots related problems. In consideration of the varied requirements between work centers within the ERRC, specific tasking for this position can be located in the applicable work center Individual Training Plan (ITP). The following represents general duties and responsibilities this position will be required to complete.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Upon certification, accomplish engine rigging procedures IAW applicable Technical Orders

•Perform qualified tasks to disassemble, reassemble assigned engines and engine components required to perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable technical directives

•Assist the Senior Mechanic, in coordination with the Training Manager and Division Foreman with on the job training requirements

•Conduct inspections of work accomplished

•Accomplish paperwork entries associated with maintenance tasks and the ordering of parts

•Conduct maintenance inspections of engine/component to ensure quality and completeness

•Comply with all applicable contractual programs and regulations; i.e., tool, safety, security, HAZMAT, support equipment, housekeeping and FOD prevention programs

•Must ensure all applicable PPE is worn as required

•Perform other qualified duties, as assigned
