CH2M HILL Lead Structural Engineer – HOUSTON, TX

Our Sr. Structural Engineer position provide you with an opportunity to work on state of the art energy and chemical facilities. Each day you will be responsible for the execution of assigned projects according to the company's contractual obligations and the client's needs and expectations. You should be a self-motivated professional with a bachelors' degree in Civil/Structural Engineering specializing in structural design. Have a keen desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new structural engineering task.

Our Structural Engineers:

Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of engineering principles with the latest design and building codes
Coordinate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process
Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs
Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, predominantly steel and concrete
Produce 3D computer models used in generating design drawings
Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents
Prepare Scope of Works, estimate man-hours to complete project and to manage the work to meet budget and the schedule
Support a team of engineers and designers to prepare structural construction documents
Learn and follow CH2M HILL QA/QC procedures
Coordinate or perform discipline checks for design documents and drawings

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors' degree from an accredited civil/structural engineering program
Hands on experience working with AutoCAD 2D and 3D
Hands on experience with structural analysis software
10+ years structural engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master degree in structural engineering from an accredited engineering program
Experience with structural analysis software, STAAD, Pro-Structures and RAM

Registered P.E. in the state of Texas or able to obtain license within 1 year

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
