Lead Process Piping Design Specialist - Houston, TX

You should be a detail-oriented, self-motivated Piping Designer with at least 20 years of engineering design experience.

Our Process Piping Design Specialist:

Be the lead piping designer on several projects at one time
Be able to lead and coordinate the work of multiple designers on one project
Demonstrate great communication skills both written and oral
Generates rough sketches, or schematics to develop engineering concepts into visual designs
Proficient at reading P& ID s
Proficient at directing and coordinating the work of other designers
Acts as Coach and Mentor to others
Able to interface with designers of other disciplines
Specifies dimensions and other data for layout and/or detailing
Develops and lays out original drawings
Make revisions and adjustments to design
Active participation in P& ID reviews, team checks, site inspections, and progress meetings
Comprehensive working knowledge of standards, practices and procedures including pipe specs
Able to submit/write project scope changes to the project engineer
Communicates to Engineer and/or Project Team Leader as to status/progress of projects/ assignments
20+ years experience in Piping Design
10+ years experience in Supervision
SP3D design experience a plus
Knowledgeable in ASME B31.3

Basic Qualifications

20+ years experience in Piping Design
10+ years experience in supervision

Preferred Qualifications

Local candidates preferred
SP3D experience

Degree Required

Associates or 2 Year Degree
