Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or GED required. Two years of college is preferred. (May substitute experience for education on a year-by-year basis). • Minimum two years’ general experience. • Minimum of two years’ specific experience in areas of inspection, quality assurance, and related areas.
Able to successfully certify in Safety, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) and radioactive training requirements. Must be current in all certifications within 30 to 60 days of selection for position.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and E-mail business software. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.

Security Clearance: • Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. Government administered Investigation. • Must be able to qualify for and maintain required level of U.S. Government Security Clearance and Access. • A current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or higher desired.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Job Description: Assist in performing duties of quality assurance specialist in testing, evaluation, validation of processes, and training of distribution center work force in Quality Management. Perform first article inspection as required, validate processes through statistical sampling and other measuring techniques. Back-up Quality Assurance point of contact for distribution mission. Assist in reviews of inventory process, COSIS process, packaging and shipping processes to ensure continued emphasis on continuous process improvement. Receive daily work assignments from Material Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities: • Assist in identifying, examining, classifying, inspecting and reporting on specific and general issues of quality assurance and Quality Management. Examinations may be visual or require measuring devices and techniques. • Able to use basic processes of inspection/examination procedures for hazardous material. • Able to read specifications, drawings, prints, schematics and photographs. • Assist in performing first article inspections as required. • Prepare reports as required. • Receive data from, and input data to, Distribution Standard System (DSS) and other automated systems in performance of duties. • Perform all other duties as assigned. • Must be able to follow requirements of MIL-STD 129.
Work Environment: General office and warehouse environment dealing with hazardous material. Some travel both domestically and internationally required based on business demands.
The individual and supervisor assure that the degree of risk is reduced to the lowest level. Work involves repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time.
