Minimum Requirements: • Two Year of experience in governmental research and finance administration or experience aiding an administrative officer in technical and administrative problems and affairs. • Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration or a related field • Combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements • Strong accounting and budgeting background, capital improvement program (CIP) budgets; construction contract administration including payment requisitions and change orders; and advanced computer skills including Excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables, etc.) and SAP. The incumbent can look forward to projects including Sky Harbor Airport. Incumbent Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoice payment requests, verify calculations in SAP, and enter into Skire. • Complete information for monthly US Census Bureau report. • Work with Project Managers to research issues in SAP and Skire. • Compile data for monthly, annual and special reports, as requested. • Prepare account reconciliation - billed versus contract. • Review master schedule reports and monthly unbudgeted reports, and research charges. • Work with Management Assistant II on follow-up action items from Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Steering Committee meetings and CIP Liaison Committee meetings. • Monitor the actual expenses of the capital budget, including soft cost and overhead charges. • Enter data or information into SKIRE system, when needed. • Review Development Services Department charges and work with Business and Properties and Financial Management on distributing these charges to the appropriate project budget. • Assist Management Analyst II in identifying trends and forecasting projects estimates at completion. • Gain working knowledge on the scooping and estimating of a capital projects. Assimilate that knowledge gained by identifying variances as actual expenditures are monitored. • Gather information, perform statistical analyses, study administrative problems, and develop improved systems, procedures and forms. • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
