Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience. • Strong research and analytical skills. • Ability to follow a problem through to the resolution in a timely manner. • Critical thinking skills to evaluate and reach conclusion regarding complex policy compliance issues. • Knowledge and ability to apply management and supervisory skills. • Sound leadership capabilities. • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with senior level management and subordinates. • Microsoft Excel proficiency and in-depth experience with ERP system. • Strong knowledge of GAAP. Job Description: The successful candidate: • Works directly and daily with all levels of operations within the region to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with IE policies and procedures. • Performs duties across the IE accounting system: Billing, AR, AP, General Ledger, Timekeeping, Payroll, Taxes, Audit and Business systems. • Monitors contract and legal compliance. • Evaluates new business processes in relation to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. • Prepares timely and accurate financial information for financial and operation management. • Reviews and analyzes general ledger accounts and data. • Reconciles accounts, including revenue over/under accruals, unbilled G/L sub-ledger and conversion accounts. • Assists billers with reconciliation issues. • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries. • Works on basic external audits or moderately complex external audits with guidance from Regional Controller. • Identifies areas of noncompliance within IE. • Assists in the day-to-day maintenance of a general ledger and preparation of basic financial reports.
