• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years progressive procurement experience. Individuals not possessing a 4 year degree may qualify with an additional 5 years related experience.
• Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Requirements:
• Current SAVANNAH RIVER REMEDIATION work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role. Previous direct people management experience preferred.
• National Association of Purchasing management (NAPM), National Contracts Management (NCMA) membership, or APICS membership is desirable.


Job Description:

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of URS Corporation is seeking a Material Access Centers Manager to be based in their Aiken, SC location.

Position Description:
The Manager, Material Access Centers (MAC) is responsible for ensuring that the business needs, changing work conditions, daily Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) work assignment and processes, inventory management, and receipt and inspection of materials being brought into the MAC Centers are in full compliance with Site Savannah River Remediation LLC (SRR) policies and procedures, while maximizing customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness. Promote commercialization, develop and implement innovative changes to increase cost effectiveness and efficiency. Identify and implement strategies to improve SRR’s working relationships with suppliers, buyers, and field customers.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all activities for the successful operation of the SRR DWPF and Tank Farm Material Access Centers (MAC). Activities include Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) support to SRR customers for the acquisition planning, development of requisition packages, and expediting of procurement needs; warehousing and inventory of materials; inventory management; distribution; and credit card purchases.
• Oversee SRR credit card purchases made by FPEs to ensure compliance with SRR policies and procedures. Take action as required to review monthly reconciliation packages and provide training.
• Direct work to all FPE and warehousing personnel to ensure proper distribution of workload and prioritization of work. Monitor and manage backlog.
• Ensure all staff providing services associated with the MAC receives appropriate levels of training to enable each person to provide customers guidance that meets all SRR procedural requirements and identifies the best procurement strategies/processes to meet customer needs.
• Oversee performance of the FPE testing of the Puridiom Procurement System.
• Responsible for the administration of personnel policies and career development for exempt and nonexempt employees. Perform coaching, counseling, one-on-one and team training sessions using situational leadership techniques to enhance employee performance and career development.
• Manage group budget expenditures of site resources of personnel, equipment and supplies in a cost effective manner to meet group goals in support of site schedules. This requires continuous direction and monitoring of resources to support important site missions.
• Promote streamlining and continue training of all personnel in commercial techniques to stay on the cutting edge of “best practices” in warehousing, acquisition strategy, and field procurement engineering support.
