Job Description:  Mechanical Engineer- Englewood, CO
The Challenge? Help to meet the ever increasing demand for electric power. Our Mechanical Engineer position will offer you an exciting opportunity to help our Clients provide a safe and reliable source of electric power to heat homes and schools, run factories, and provide goods and services we all depend upon. Each day your expertise in Mechanical Engineering will enable our utility Clients to meet the power needs of their customers.

Our Mechanical Engineer :
Provides systems design, equipment specifications and procurement, inter-discipline coordination and client interface for combined cycle and simple cycle gas fired power plants Coordinates with other engineering disciplines Provides equipment sizing, selection and analysis of functional requirements Prepares P&ID's, System Operating Descriptions and Start-up Procedures Supports new business activities such as equipment pricing and construction cost estimating support Travels routinely within the US and occasionally outside of the US
SPECIAL NOTE: CH2M Hill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc) to fill this position. Applicants who are not authorized to work in the US will not be considered for this position. Preference will be given to applicants residing in the greater Denver, CO region

Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in Power industry working for A&E or EPC firms
  • PE Registration Preferred
  • Construction or Start-Up experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft tools such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel

Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university is required
