Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must have BA or BS in a Computer Science-related field or possess a BA or BS in another field in conjunction with relevant work experience and recognized information security certifications, including those provided by SANS and ISC2. Minimum 6 years of experience in computing and information security. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required and must have ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Experience should include:
• Familiarity with information security assessments, penetration testing and system security analysis
• Familiarity with security policy, procedure and planning development
• Familiarity with major information security regulatory guidelines

The individual sought for this position has strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, interviewing and writing skills, and has the ability to perform the tasks described above. The successful candidate must be a team player, committed to meeting team and client schedules, and able to work productively on several high profile projects simultaneously. Candidate must be able to communicate technical details effectively both verbally and written to team members, managers, and clients. A writing sample will be requested of select qualified candidates.Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

This position will support URS’ established and rapidly expanding Information Security practice. URS’ existing clients are looking to URS to provide the services needed in this position as an expansion of our existing multi-billion dollar Homeland Security portfolio as well as new opportunities with new clients. The Information Security Analyst will work on a variety of client projects including but not limited to:
• Information security policy development and maintenance
• Design of security policy education, training, and awareness activities;
• Compliance reviews and summary report writing
• Review and development of IT business continuity and disaster recovery programs
• Network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessment scans and risk assessment reviews
• Conduct security research
