Minimum Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of air quality experience and/or environmental compliance
Must be familiar with air quality regulations, air emissions calculations, air emissions control technologies
Strong client communication skills, and prior project experience
Experience with air permitting, both NSR and Title V required
Must be detail oriented and able to work as part of a team
Good organization and time management skills are a must
Excellent technical, project management, and client relations skills
Must be comfortable working with existing and new clients to develop and market new program areas
Some overnight travel will be required
Valid driver's license required
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: The Indianapolis, IN office is seeking a dynamic and experienced engineer to manage air quality-related environmental compliance projects for federal and industrial clients.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
Manage and execute projects involving air quality-related environmental compliance services including performing studies and analyses, regulatory research, auditing, creating spreadsheets, and compiling and writing reports and other documents
Successfully manage projects for industrial and federal clients meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives
As a senior leader, effectively lead project teams by coordinating and communicating with project team members, other project managers, and other URS offices and will support the professional development and growth of junior level staff
Compliance projects related to other environmental media may also be supported, as the candidate's qualifications allow
Services include the full range of offerings of URS' depth and breadth of technical expertise, with a focus on environmental compliance and program development and implementation with clients
Direct and frequent interaction with clients is anticipated including client management activities such as understanding client operation and client needs; collaboration with client on development of project requirements; marketing and cross-selling clients; delivering recurring and new project work; and the preparation of URS proposals
