Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. in Geology or Hydrology
8 years experience in the environmental field with at least 5 years of experience in Arizona.
Registered Geologist
Previous business development experience
Requires ability to plan and execute well installations. Requires the ability to conduct field sampling programs (including collecting, analyzing and interpreting chemical and physical data) and manage multiple subcontractors
MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3D, TH WELLS, or equivalent.

Position requires effective time-management, written communications skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with professional presence, with solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of Arizona clean water regulations and policies. Previous experience with well installations, groundwater modeling, and project management. Candidate will be expected to complete internal project management certification within 6 months of hire.

Position Description:

This position will be part of the Environmental Services Department in our Phoenix office.

This position will provide support for hydrogeology projects by planning and conducting projects interpreting the results and clearly communicating the findings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing projects

Training, coaching and mentoring junior staff

Work with other teams and groups to meet project needs

Supporting business development and marketing efforts
Technical Leadership

Position will interact with both clients and regulatory agencies such as the ADWR, ADEQ, Industrial/Commercial companies and a variety of municipalities. May be required to make professional presentations to client or agency representatives. Will interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS. Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other team members.
