CH2M HILL Senior Systems Engineer, Signaling/Positive Train Conrol Jobs - New York City, NY

In this position, you will:

Provide engineering/ detailed design review/ checker support for conventional wayside/ cab signaling/ Solid State interlocking(SSI) and interface to Positive Train Control (PTC) overlay systems.
Provide Engineering support for preparation of technical specifications for functional/ performance of PTC systems with interfaces to conventional wayside/ cab signal systems/ SSI utilized in North America.
Provide engineering support for integration of PTC systems to existing conventional signal systems/ SSI.
Perform oversight and witnessing of factory testing of conventional/ SSI & PTC subsystem equipment prior to approval for shipment; log discrepancies. and prepare reports for status of system testing.
Monitor field implementation and testing activities for conventional signal system upgrades, PTC implementations.
Support System integration of interoperable train control subsystems from different suppliers for compatibility and functional performance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree (preferable in Electrical Engineering), 17+ years of signal circuit design & testing, application logic programming, location designs, typical railroad circuits, NORAC operating rules, signal block design, AREMA signal standards, a thorough familiarity with FRA PTC rule requirements and compliance criteria and approval process and a thorough familiarity with Conventional signal/ SSI and PTC products from key suppliers in the market.

Basic Qualifications

17+ years of signal circuit design & testing, application logic programming, location designs, typical railroad circuits, NORAC operating rules, signal block design, AREMA signal standards
A thorough familiarity with FRA PTC rule requirements and compliance criteria and approval process
A thorough familiarity with Conventional signal/ SSI and PTC products from key suppliers in the market.
BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
PE

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
