Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or formal academic or vocational/military training and a minimum of 10 year of related experience in installing, maintaining, and modifying electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment. Job Description: Performs a wide variety of activities associated with modifying, installing, and maintaining electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment at both RAMS and RATSCAT NRTF sites. Works autonomously with minimal supervision to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, modify, construct and test electrical, electronic equipment associated with the NRTF radar and command and control systems and/or mechanical equipment such as the rotators, pylon HTM control and antenna positioning systems and related equipment. Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles and problem solving skills in order to troubleshoot, install and modify NRTF measurements systems and equipment for operational readiness and in the design of simple RF, microwave and digital circuitry. Is thoroughly familiar in reading and interpreting RF, microwave and digital schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot and correct system malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. Must be able to interpret and calculate test equipment measurement results to verify radar and measurement system performance. Runs tests, collects data, and recommends component or circuit changes. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned and participates in special projects as required. Must be able to operate all NRTF measurement systems and be able to process RADAR data and possess a limited data analysis capability. Must be able to manipulate and calculate basic radar performance parameter equations.
