Job Description:  Overall Responsibility
Analysts perform financial, statistical, economic data collection and analyses, creation and management of spreadsheets and databases, creation of marketing proposals and presentations, preparation of documents, and perform various analytic tasks for the Board.

Location: New York, NY

Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Monitor the status of at-risk construction projects, including Design-Build, General Contractor, Construction Manager with GMP, Construction Manager as Constructor, and Construction Manager with Guaranteed or Fixed General Conditions including:
a. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and other required analyses with the Project Team,
b. Prepare Project related presentations to Senior Management as needed,
c. Attend regular meetings with the Project Team, record meeting notes, and follow up on key issues for Senior Management,
d. Review Project monthly reports for accuracy and consistency
e. Raise issues or concerns for discussion with Senior Management
f. Analyst draft GMP submissions and perform project audits.
2. Monitor operations of regional business units as well as market sector leads across North America and prepare related analysis and participate in monthly management dashboard reports as well as quarterly business reviews with senior management.
3. Prepare fee proposals, general conditions estimates, and term sheets for potential at-risk project opportunities;
4. Coordinate with corporate departments to collect and analyze data to prepare reports required by senior management.
5. Maintain data and prepare analyses – utilized for operations assessments, business planning, etc.
6. Review and abstract construction contracts, track contract negotiations, and assist with the preparation of related documents including Letters of Intent and contract exhibits;
7. Attend various meetings with senior level management including project-specific, new business, and contracts meetings to take meeting minutes and follow up on outstanding issues;
8. Perform market research and cost analyses as needed.  Make recommendations that will have an effect on the management of the company based on the above analyses;
9. Prepare memos regarding corporate procedures and policies as required by senior management;
10. Assist senior management with special projects and provide daily status reports as required;
11. Plan working hours to manage incoming assignments for timely review and submission.
12. Submit a weekly personal workload report;
13. Attend various continuing education classes such as Construction Law or Construction Project Management as well as software training classes as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Ability to work with different levels of both technical and administrative personnel;
2. Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adherence to deadlines;
3. Commitment to detail including the ability to incorporate edits and follow standard report formats;
4. Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers;
5. Cooperative, team player with a strong sense of commitment and dedication;
6. Proactive outlook with constant attention to improvement and is comfortable offering and receiving suggestions;
7. High comfort level with quantitative analysis but also proficient in qualitative writing skills;
8. Ability to maintain confidential, corporate information and answer requests by senior management;
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Adobe is strongly preferred.

Work Experience Requirements
1. Maximum of two to five years of work experience.  Experience in construction industry is required.
2. Knowledge and experience required for the position includes knowledge of the construction business and strong analytical, computer, and both written and oral communication skills.

Education Requirements
1. Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management is required.
