Job Description: Perform acquisition logistics support tasks within the logistics element areas (ILS planning, maintenance planning; design interface; computer resources; manpower and personnel; technical data; supply support; support equipment; training and training devices; packaging/handling/storage/transportation; training and training devices; and facilities) for systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Perform analyses, studies, problem identification, and resolution in support of a customer acquisition logistics manager.
Prepare correspondence, documentation, and reports for assigned logistics elements.
Plan, design, write, edit, proofread and finalize documents, technical manuals, orders, specifications, modification work orders, test plans/procedures, etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Research programmatic data to understand the acquisition strategy, maintenance philosophy, supply support strategy, etc. to develop/revise technical documentation to support requirements and determine configuration impacts.
2. Interface with technical professionals in the writing, editing, and publication of various types of acquisition documents such as specifications, manuals, reports, plans, training materials and presentations to ensure readiness for Independent Logistics Assessments.
3. Assist with maintenance of logistics support data and provide technical input to programmatic acquisition plans such as the Product Support Management Plan, Maintenance Plan, Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, Supportability Plan, Level of Repair Analysis, etc.
4. Research a variety of assigned topics and develop writing plans and outlines.
5. Assist in the development of supporting materials (illustrations, tables, etc.).
6. Track and monitor flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identifies and correct problem areas as they arise.
7. Provide quality assurance check all document deliverables.
8. Utilize appropriate computer software for document test production. Investigate and implement best ways to maintain documentation electronically.
9. Establish and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing.
10. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
