Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, specifically pipeline installation, welding jack and bore installation and earthwork.
• Must be proficient in writing electronic daily reports.
• Must possess ICBO NICET or AWS inspection certificate.
• Knowledge and practice of construction safety is required.
• Must be able to work evening shift
• Candidate needs to be familiar with excavation, shoring and trench plate safety use.
• Must have a negative drug result on required drug test.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will be assigned full-time in a pipeline installation project in Victorville, California. Work will entail daily driving along the pipe route approximately 6 miles roundtrip.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Works closely with Senior Inspectors, Project Administrator or engineers to verify and document proper execution of project designs.
• Reads and understands designs, specifications and plans, and schedule milestones based on the contract for various construction projects.
• Interprets design plans and verifies that the actual product being constructed conforms to the design and specifications.
• Documents and verifies that design specifications are implemented in the execution of projects.
• Collects and reviews design submittal specification data and documents acceptability.
• Documents and reports design variances.
• Verifies that the contractor is creating project as-built based on change orders, information requests, design clarifications and shop drawings.
• Uses principles and theories of science and engineering to prepare solutions to technical problems.
• Produces detailed reports, documenting that construction is adhering to the design requirements.
• Prepares daily report on the status of the work, including confirmation of work accomplished, available resources and jobsite conditions.
• Prepares and updates various documents and spreadsheets for inspection reports.
• Participates in meetings to discuss design requirements and any variances requested.
• Assists with resolution of Request for Information (RFI).
• Processes payment review, confirms quantities and percentages of work completed in validating the contractors payment request.
• Reviews initial schedules submitted and schedule values with Project Manager, including materials and labor utilized last month and verifies quantities on site.
• Relays instructions from the owner and the design professional to the contractor.
