Minimum Requirements: • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or construction discipline • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience with 10 of those years progressively responsible transit project management and construction management experience. • The successful candidate will have direct demonstrated construction management experience on major transit-related projects. Demonstrated leadership in the successful delivery of large-scale transit projects as well as project delivery ranging from project management, construction management, and project controls. Must have experience with tunneling and underground transit station construction. • Must have, or be able to obtain, a CA PE or CCM registration. • Must have demonstrated experience with FTA and Local Transit Agencies. Strong preference for experience with both transit station and guideway CM. • Must have demonstrated project management skills. • Must be a self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills. • Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. • This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee. Job Description: The LA Basin -CM Group of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transit Construction Manager for immediate employment in the Los Angeles, CA office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in construction management specific to major transit projects. • Serve as a Project Manager/Construction Manager, including all aspects of client and construction management services for the light, heavy and commuter rail expansions and upgrades. • Coordinate the construction phase of assigned projects, and lead the construction management team in the field. • Manage the inspection and oversight during construction to include project controls. • Plan, organize, and supervise project teams to ensure good contract performance. • Ensure the delivery of high quality construction management services, on-time and on-budget. • Strengthen client relationships and possibly function as a Client Account Manager for key clients. • Assist our business development team in pursuing new Transit related projects. • Assist with strategic planning, work-sharing across offices, staff recruiting, and staff mentoring. • Remain current on FTA policies and procedures that impact the implementation of transit EOE M/F/D/V
