Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree
• Registered in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer
• Minimum 15 years of experience, including:
• CEI Management Experience
• Sr. Project Engineer Experience with FDOT Districts 2 & 5, Local Municipalities, and OOCEA in central Florida
• FDOT Advanced MOT Certification, Pass CTQP QC Manager Examination
• Applicant is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description:
URS Construction Services, Inc. is actively seeking a creative, a highly talented Senior Project Engineer for immediate employment in the Central Florida area. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in managing CEI staff and performing Construction Engineering and Inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities throughout central and Southeast Florida.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Responsible for marketing and leading CEI pursuits in Central Florida including FDOT, OOCEA and local municipality work
• Responsible for managing URS CEI projects and staff in central Florida
• Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
• Plans and organizes the work of subordinate and staff members; develops and/or reviews policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Reviews programs for conformance with FDOT standards
