CH2M HILL Operations Supervisor Careers - Quincy, FL
The challenge? Provide a range of custom-tailored operations and maintenance solutions. As an Operations Supervisor you will oversee the operation, repair, and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. CH2M HILL began providing operations and maintenance (O&M) in the City of Quincy, FL since 1994 and serves a population of 7,000. It is located 20 miles west of Tallahassee. A Florida Class B Wastewater Treatment License and Class C DW are required. You will also apply knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices.

You should be a self-motivated professional with knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data management systems.

Our Operations Supervisors:

Diagnoses operating problems and directs effective correction procedures
Prepare required reports and maintain complete recordkeeping procedures
Analyzes recording instrument readings and laboratory test results and adjusts various plant processes
Inspects plant to determine efficiency of operations, cleanliness, and maintenance activities
Supervises and trains employees
Determines remedial action in emergencies
Prepares work schedules subject to approval of Project Manager
Prepares reports and maintains records
Performs employee evaluations
Assists Project Manager in conducting ongoing safety program
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
Performs other duties as required

The work area can involve a working environment indoors as well as outdoors, which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Certification at a level required by the State in which the project is located Class B WW and "C" DW
Possess a valid driver's license with no major infractions in past 5 years

Preferred Qualifications

Highest level certification in the State in which the project is located

Degree Required

High School or GED

Certifications Required

Florida Class B Wastewater Treatment License and Class C Distriubtion Water

Preferred Years of Experience
