CH2M HILL Entry-level Water Engineer Jobs – Denver, Colorado

The challenge? Help provide and sustain clean water resources around the world. Our entry level Water Engineering jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on exciting and large-scale water and wastewater projects. Each day, you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you utilize your technical skills to collaborate with our senior water engineering staff to support existing and future work in the water and wastewater systems markets. As a contributing member of a project team, you will perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. Our projects cover a wide range of topics including water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure design, storm and sanitary conveyance, and construction services to name a few. Your work could involve technical study, computer modeling, technical report writing, engineering design and construction services support.

You should be a self-motivated professional with a MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Previous intern or co-op experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, collection systems, water and wastewater process design, and water resources engineering is highly desirable. You should have excellent verbal and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem solving ability, organizational skills, multitasking ability and excellent computer skills (VBA, C, Fortran, and MS Office Suite) as well as a desire to grow both personally and professionally with this engineering opportunity.

Additional Information:

The expected start date for this position is June of 2013.

Basic Qualifications

MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
0-2 years of experience gained through internships or co-ops
Minimum 3.0 GPA Must have EIT or have recently taken the FE examination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Good writing skills and prior experience preparing technical specifications and/or reports
Must have proficiency with Microsoft office

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications, we also desire the following:

Basic ability to program in Excel Virtual Basic for Applications (VBA), C language, FORTRAN, or similar

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
