Minimum Requirements: Four year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited education institution plus Two years’ EE experience and/or specialized experience as related to tasks below.
Travel may be required to conduct site visits and analyze engineering problems, proposes solutions and recommendations.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills - demonstrated ability to communicate with engineers, technicians, management, and customers regarding technical solutions.
Must be U.S. Citizen able to pass/maintain a DoD Security Clearance - active clearance is strongly preferred. We have an immediate opportunity at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for an Electrical Enigneer at the beginning of her/his career.
Duties:
Prepare technical and weekly reports and papers concerning results, findings of studies and weekly activities; interacts in a team environment with a diverse technical work force.
Repairs, maintains and modifies/improves test stations used in the overhaul of night vision target acquisition systems and components (primary systems include infrared electro-optics and/or image intensifiers with emphasis on second generation infrared sensors and thermal imagers and sensor processing).
Solves average electronics engineering problems with little technical guidance.
Understands and interprets military drawing standards/specifications, as well as government process for ordering parts.
Documents work efforts, to include Test Procedures, Engineering Change Proposals, specifications/standards, etc.
Performs a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
Acts as a lead on less complex tasks and is responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review.
Generates complete design specifications of more complex projects.
Coordinates and works closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements; research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Develops, maintains and produces technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications; Interfaces with customers at all levels - design reviews, technical working groups, and final design and test activities. FSSEIS EOE M/F/D/V
