| Job Description: |
Seattle City Light, a department of the City ofSeattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Over the years we have worked very hard to keepSeattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound. Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
This position is the Environmental Affairs lead responsible for carrying out the environmental compliance of SCL energy delivery engineering and operations. With the rapid expansion of several huge energy delivery projects, such as the viaduct transmission line rerouting, the Seattle Seawall project, the H-frame Creston-Nelson tower replacement, and the design of a new substation, the demand for environmental affairs support has dramatically increased. This position will specifically reduce, over the next three years, the backlog of Energy Delivery projects in order to allow future project planning to slide into the normal environmental staff assignment and planning process. This position will report to the Manager, Environmental Management and Compliance unit within the Environmental Affairs and Real Estate division. |
