Job Description:  CH2M HILL Project Assistant - Boston, Massachusetts

The challenge? Support our Boston Water Business Group and Transportation Business Group (Transit & Rail) project managers and staff. Each day you will be an important part of the team as you complete a variety of administrative tasks. You should be able to think on your feet, work with minimal supervision and multitask effectively as well as utilize independent judgment and have the initiative to take on new tasks and challenges every day. You should possess excellent skills using Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook and other business system applications. Work is frequently complex, proprietary, and requires strong project administrative skills as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience, be skilled in oral and written communication and have good knowledge of project delivery tools, procedures and accounting practices. Experience with supporting the preparation of business development proposals and marketing communications is a plus. You should have a strong desire to grow both personally as well as professionally with all project challenges.

Our Project Assistants:

  • Independently prepare reports, presentations and correspondence of a nonstandard nature; coordinate production; may schedule graphics, editing and reproduction.
  • Draft project invoices and ensure final invoices are complete before sending to clients; may track project and subcontractor invoices and related payment follow-up.
  • Assist with project set up.
  • Maintain contract/projects filing systems.
  • Coordinate and tracks project submittals.
  • Collect, compile and analyze data in response to special requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and marketing materials.

Additional Information: CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years experience in an office support or administrative capacity within a professional office environment.
  • Advanced office support and administrative skills required.
  • Marketing and business development experience is a plus.
  • Strong to advanced skills with personal computer and software as required for the functional area and as specified by the company, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of experience with strong project administrative skills and marketing experience.
  • Four year degree in business administration (or related field) is preferred, but not required.
