Minimum Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical engineering emphasis and two years of experience in levee analyses. Individuals with Master's or PhD degree in related engineering discipline with no experience may enter at this level. Job Description: The candidate will become a member of the Geotechnical Engineering Department and perform geotechnical engineering tasks under the direction of a project engineer or task manager. Work will include engineering calculations and analyses, report preparation, plan and specification preparation on water resources, transportation, and foundation projects. Job duties may include performing engineering tasks and preparing calculations, reports, drawings and specifications for complex projects with tunnels, dams, slopes, embankments, levees, earth retention systems, anchoring systems, shallow foundations, piles, piers, and pipelines.
