Minimum Requirements:

Education/Training: High School graduate or equivalent; must have completed military or vocational technical school curriculum and/or AA degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Employment category will be based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Upon hiring, the company may provide a 4-8 week training class on UAV Predator maintenance conducted at Indian Springs/ Creech AFB, NV; Gray Butte, CA or similar location as assigned Students must achieve a passing grade in all courses for continued employment. Additional “on the job” training may be required following end of course. Upon successful completion of all required training, the employee will report to assigned location

Work Experience Field: Minimum of five to eight years of professional experience required; with recent aviation maintenance experience to be considered for position, prior experience with UAVs preferred.

Special Skills: Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship. Active DOD Security Clearance highly desired. Must apply for a Secret, or higher, clearance within 30 days of hire start date. A Top Secret security clearance may be required for this position. Must be able to gain/maintain the required security clearance level of as a condition of continued employment. FAA A&P license or equivalent required. CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING/ABLE TO MOVE/RESIDE IN LOCAL CLOVIS, NM AREA.

Job Description:

Essential Job Function: Supports Predator UAV maintenance. Employee must be able to support TDY deployments to other CONUS/OCONUS locations as required. Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and other critical components to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants/trains, fuel systems, and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills.

Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.; diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks; test engine operations, use test equipment to locate source of malfunction(s). Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft, using hoist or other lifting devices; disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects; repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft; adjust, repair, or replace instruments, avionics/navigation, ADP flight controls, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and associated aircraft accessories.

Perform aircraft services to include engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, and required maintenance checks. May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies. Recommends revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship.
