Role Overview
- Assist and implement security and site access control services to the project and other locations as required in accordance with Project Procedures. Ensure that field personnel are knowledgeable of Bechtel's security and site access control instructions, programs and procedures.
- Pro-actively supporting the implementation of the Project's environmental, safety and health systems by:
- Immediately correcting observed breaches, unsafe acts or conditions;
- (In the event that correction is not possible) Reporting observed breaches, unsafe acts or conditions.
- Assist the Site Safety Manager/Officers in emergency situations.
- Maintaining complete and accurate security related logs, registers, files, records and reports.
- Monitoring compliance with security and site access control systems and procedures: including documentation, correction and/or reporting breaches to the Site Control Supervisor, as appropriate.
- Assisting in investigation of breaches of security and site control, including criminal acts and questionable matters.
- General house-keeping and hygiene duties of security and site control facilities.
- Act as a member of the Bechtel emergency operations in the form of traffic and crowd control.
- Other tasks as designated by the Site Control Supervisor.
Basic Qualifications/Skills
The Site Control Officer shall be knowledgeable and/or have skills in:
- Implementing Bechtel Security & Site Access Control systems.
- Bechtel industrial relations systems, sensitivities, risk potential.
- Being privy to certain Bechtel confidential information will remain confidential.
- Bechtel safety induction systems.
- Capable of managing conflict situations.
- Skill in verbal and written communications. Capable of obtaining security clearances.
- Public relations and communication skills are essential.
- Current drivers licence is essential.
Additional Information
The successful applicant will need to either have or be prepared to acquire the following qualifications;
- Certificate 2 Security
- Monitoring CCTV modules
- Queensland Construction Industry Induction White Card required
