Role Overview Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, guidelines, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to startup, maintenance, operation, or testing. Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of operations and startup techniques. Devises new approaches to operations problems. Provides startup, maintenance, operation or testing direction to subordinate senior startup engineers, engineers, technicians, crafts or others as assigned for specific projects or tasks Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry Assigned as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)Coordinator, responsible for administering the Lock Out Tag Out program. Has technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating LOTO activities. This includes the ability to determine that a requested Lock Out/Tag Out will provide a safe working enviorment for the requestor personnel performing work within the boundry of the clearance. Will provide coordination between Startup system engineers, Operations personnel and Personnel working under the LOTO program. Work hours as required. This includes working all shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as the need arises. POSITION REQUIREMENTS A minimum of ten years experience related to startup of a facility and equipment operations or other relevant experience such as construction, field engineering, or operations in industrial, process or utility engineering or construction. Minimum of Five years experience in a plant Operations role at a facility, one of which pertains to the administration of the LOTO program. Ability to work effectively with owners staff, construction supervisors and Foreman, project management, startup staff, off site entities (i.e., utility personnel, truck drivers, regulatory agencies, etc.) Good oral and written communications skills. Basic Qualifications : Prior precommissioning and commissioning experience Prior operating plant experience Preferred : Prior experience with Bechtel Lockout / Tagout procedure Prior experience as a Lockout / Tagout coordinator Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
